When you click on the screen, a yellow and a red dot will appear. The yellow dot highlights a particular atom or molecule (called the medium). The red dot follows the phase of the wave.

To help you distingush clearly between the concepts of wavelength and period you can alter both independently, but you s hould remember this is not a realistic description of how a wave works. |
